All plants on this site have been grown from seed or cuttings in cultivation. In the interests of conservation, we will not deal in habitat collected plants.

Cactus Shop (Ralph Northcott) has been growing and trading in cacti & other succulents since 1979 and guarantee speedy delivery of top class plants

PLEASE NOTE: - We have a site in Wallington, Surrey and we are currently open to visitors, either by appointment or on specified days only. (At present Tuesdays and alternate Saturdays only - appointment still required please!)
Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept card payments. If you are shopping from Europe, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to Euros or your own currency.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your payment by post.

If you wish to send a cash payment with your order, please send in a registered package! We accept cash in £ GBP, € Euro and $ US.

You can send a cheque, but it must be in £ GBP.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when our online payment merchant sends you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling Delivery throughout the UK, EU and South Korea only.

INSURANCE
Please note that parcels are posted at customer's risk. If they fail to arrive, we are not liable for compensation of any sort.
For peace of mind, we will insure your parcel, but you must inform us at time of order placement and there will be an extra charge to cover this service.
To put things in perspective, less than 0.5% of our packages fail to arrive.

Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the dispatch of the Products ordered to you unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
1/The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
2/Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
3/The identification of a pricing or product description error
4/ You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions

If not satisfied for any reason, we must receive written notice within 30 days of receipt of your order, when a full refund will be available.
Once ordered, prices on this site remain valid until order is received.

Order cancellation will result in the sum paid being reimbursed in full, less a small % commision taken by our online payment processors.

Orders placed from countries outside Europe.
We do not ship outside Europe. Anyone paying in error by card from outside Europe will be refunded in full, less a transaction fee charged by our online merchant. This will be in the region of 6% of your total remittance.
This charge will also apply to "Collection from our nursery only" items which are ordered online in error! - we still have to pay the processing charges!
Delivery Schedule We will normally send your order to you in 7 days. International orders are generally received in under 10 days.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

DELIVERY:
Our dispatch day is now usually every Tuesday. Orders received up to 2pm on a Monday should be packed and posted on Tuesday. Orders received AFTER THIS TIME may be packed the FOLLOWING Tuesday. Delivery time expected is up to 4 days from dispatch date. Please allow three weeks at times, to allow for busy periods, for plants to dry out if just watered etc. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR ORDER IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED AT BUSY TIMES TO WAIT FOR THREE WEEKS! THANK YOU.
Back Orders Out-of-stock items Unless you tell us "no substitutes" in the "Comments" section of the customer details page, or say "NO" in the drop-down menu, we reserve the right to substitute when an item is out of stock, and we believe that we are able to offer an alternative which we believe to be similar and of an equal or usually greater value. If we are not able to supply a very near equivalent, we will email you for instructions or we will refund payment on the item in full.
Tax Charges We are not registered for VAT. All prices on this site are final - no VAT will be added.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are processed by our online merchants who use 128 bit encryption. This is totally secure and safe. (Look for the locked padlock on your bottom navigation bar)

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
