CACTI owners looking to give their plants a nutritional treat can now do so thanks to a new product from one of the UK's leading manufacturers of plant nutrients.
Growth Technology has created Cactus Focus, which has been specially formulated for cacti and succulents for healthy growth and flowering.
It is a compound liquid fertiliser, which has been blended from highly soluble mineral salts for use on cacti plants and succulents. Cacti respond well to it.
"We recommend feeding cacti and succulents every two weeks throughout the growing season and watering as necessary in between.
"Regular feeding will help to support healthy plant bodies, strong spination and vibrant flowering.
"Cease feeding in winter as plants will be dormant and keep plants in a cool place."

CLONEX® is a high performance rooting compound suitable for the propagation of many plant species.. It is a tenacious gel which will remain in contact around the stem, sealing the cut tissue and supplying the hormones needed to promote root cell development, and vitamins to protect the delicate new root tissue. Ideal for those slow and difficult cacti!

CLONEX is better because:
It seals cut tissue instantly, eliminating the risk of infection or embolism. It contains rooting hormone at 3000 parts per million, the full strength required for explosive root development. Clonex has a full spectrum of mineral nutrients and trace elements to nourish the young roots, plus anti-microbial agents to protect against fungal contamination. It is a gel , far safer than liquids or powders because it cannot splash or blow about. Unlike liquids and powders, CLONEX will remain in contact with the stem right through the rooting period. SB Plant Invigorator (SBPI) is a unique pesticide, mildewicide and foliar feed for use on all edible and ornamental crops. SBPI is used by professional and amateur growers and gardeners worldwide. It helps to produce quality fruit, vegetables, flowers, bushes, shrubs and trees and controls a wide range of important pest species that include Whitefly, Aphid, Spider Mite, Mealybug, Scale insects and Psyllids. The SBPI has a ‘physical mode of action’ which is non-chemical and non-biological. If applied correctly pests will not become resistant to SBPI. The efficacy is excellent.

Directions for use:

SBPI can be bought as a ready to use 500ml spray or as a concentrate.

DILUTION RATE (for the concentrate)
10 ml concentrate to 1 litre of water. Add required amount to water and stir well. Only apply diluted. Do not exceed the appropriate application rates. Apply using a fine sprayer. To maximise effectiveness ensure product is applied thoroughly on a weekly basis. Reseal container after use. Protect from frost. Store out of direct sunlight above 0c and below 30c. For best results repeat spray weekly

NOTE
Do not mix with any other product - mix only with water. Do not spray open blooms as some staining of petals may occur. Some varieties may be susceptible to scorch, especially in hot conditions (advisable to spray small trial area first)

PRECAUTIONS
Keep concentrate off skin and away from eyes. If splashed in eyes wash in clean water. If hands or bare skin in contact with concentrate for prolonged period, wash in soapy water. Keep concentrate out of reach of children, animals and wildlife. Keep concentrate away from foodstuffs and aquatic life.
